Elevate voices

In their words.

Girls group (Elevate) is a really good club. They help you with a lot of stuff. Anything you need really; school, finding jobs, learning about life and they help you make new friends and feel welcomed and comfortable

I was fortunate enough to be on the sideline (FHS PTSO member) observing and marveling as a need was noticed, passion sparked and The Thrive Collective was created by 3 amazing women. Their drive and enthusiasm was contagious and welcoming. So, it was a no-brainer to get involved as a speaker and mentor! It is a joy teaching and sharing goal-setting and strengths recognition with the girls in the Elevate girls group. But my heart is in the mentor program! I was paired with a darling girl with big dreams and motivation for the future. My role as her mentor was to listen, be interested and provide support as she navigated all the responsibilities and challenges of finishing high school and getting ready for the next phase. It was and is truly my pleasure to check in with her and hear about her life. She is darling and her future is so bright! I’m grateful that she, her family, ALLPS and The Thrive Collective have let me have a small part in it.

The Girls Group at ALLPS has been such an amazing support for these young women. It offers support and encouragement in a safe environment. The girls have gotten many opportunities to connect with different women in the community. It has allowed them to explore careers and help them figure out what they want to pursue after high school. The girls group allows the students to grow, learn and support each other through the guidance of caring mentors. This group has been incredible at ALLPS and offered the students an avenue to gain self confidence and growth through the support of dedicated mentors.
